Section 6 — Website analytics, cookies and advertising

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors interact with our website and to improve its performance.

We may use services such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and other advertising or measurement technologies.

These services may collect information about visits to our website, pages viewed, interactions with our advertising and other technical information.

We use this information to understand matters such as:

  • which services people are searching for;

  • which website pages are useful;

  • how visitors reach our website;

  • whether our advertising generates genuine enquiries; and

  • how we can improve the customer experience.

Where required, users may be provided with choices regarding cookies and advertising technologies.

Section 7 — Google Ads Customer Match and first-party advertising data

OIBD may use Google Ads Customer Match and similar first-party advertising services.

This means that information provided directly to OIBD by customers or prospective customers — such as an email address, telephone number or name — may be securely provided to Google for the purpose of performing advertising, audience matching, measurement and related services on our behalf.

Google may attempt to match that information with information associated with a Google account so that OIBD can measure advertising performance, communicate with relevant audiences or improve the relevance of our advertising.

OIBD intends to use Customer Match only with first-party information obtained through our own business relationship with the individual, such as information provided through:

  • a direct enquiry;

  • a quotation request;

  • a customer relationship;

  • a website enquiry;

  • a previous OIBD project; or

  • another direct interaction with OIBD.

Then add this paragraph underneath:

We do not intend to use purchased, scraped or unauthorised third-party customer lists for Google Customer Match.

Customer information provided to advertising service providers is used only where permitted by applicable requirements and the policies of the relevant service provider.

Section 8 — Direct marketing

Where permitted, OIBD may contact existing customers or people who have directly enquired about our services with information about relevant products, services, projects or developments.

We do not want to send communications to people who do not wish to receive them.

You may ask us at any time to stop using your personal information for direct marketing.

Marketing emails will provide an unsubscribe mechanism where required, and requests to opt out will be actioned as soon as reasonably practicable.

Section 9 — When we may share information

We do not sell customer personal information.

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to organisations that assist us in conducting our business or completing a customer's project, including:

  • vehicle manufacturers and dealerships;

  • engineers and vehicle certification providers;

  • component and equipment suppliers;

  • specialist contractors;

  • freight and delivery providers;

  • accountants and professional advisers;

  • insurers;

  • website and IT service providers;

  • cloud-storage providers;

  • payment and accounting systems;

  • advertising and analytics providers such as Google; and

  • government, regulatory or law-enforcement bodies where required by law.

We only disclose information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

Section 10 — Overseas service providers

Some technology, cloud, analytics, advertising or software providers used by OIBD may store or process information outside Australia.

This can include multinational technology providers such as Google and other software or cloud-service companies.

Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, applicable Australian privacy requirements may impose additional responsibilities regarding that disclosure.

We take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances when selecting and using service providers that handle personal information.

Section 11 — Storage and security

OIBD takes reasonable measures to protect personal information against:

  • loss;

  • misuse;

  • unauthorised access;

  • modification;

  • disclosure; and

  • other inappropriate handling.

Information may be stored in electronic systems, email systems, cloud platforms, accounting systems, project records and, where necessary, physical records.

Access is limited to people who reasonably require the information for business purposes.

No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Section 12 — Retention of project information

Because OIBD manufactures and modifies vehicles with long service lives, some project records may need to be retained for an extended period.

This may include:

  • vehicle identification information;

  • drawings and specifications;

  • photographs;

  • component records;

  • certification documents;

  • electrical or technical information;

  • warranty records;

  • approved project variations; and

  • information required to establish the history of a conversion.

These records can be important for future servicing, compliance, warranty, traceability, product recalls and technical enquiries.

Where personal information is no longer reasonably required and there is no legal or legitimate business reason to retain it, we may securely destroy or de-identify it.

Section 13 — Accessing or correcting your information

You may contact OIBD if you would like to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you;

  • request access to that information;

  • correct information that is inaccurate or out of date; or

  • raise a concern about how your information has been handled.

We may need to verify your identity before providing access to personal information.

We will review the matter and respond within a reasonable period.

Section 15 — Third-party websites

Our website may contain links to external websites or services.

Oz Interior by Design is not responsible for the privacy practices, security or content of third-party websites or services.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of those organisations separately before providing them with personal information.

Section 16 — Changes to this Privacy Policy

Our operations, technology and legal obligations may change from time to time.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:

  • changes to our business;

  • new products or services;

  • new technology or advertising systems;

  • changes to our information-handling practices; or

  • changes to applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

The current version of this Privacy Policy will be published on our website together with the date of the latest update.
