Project outcome: A self-contained mobile audiology clinic combining specialist acoustic performance, independent onboard power, climate control, connectivity and a purpose-designed clinical workspace within a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform. The audiometric booth underwent independent acoustic performance testing following completion, providing documented validation of the acoustic environment for its intended clinical application.

This purpose-built mobile dental clinic was designed to provide a professional, self-contained treatment environment with integrated power, climate control, water systems, cabinetry and equipment support for mobile dental services.

Gear Guardian Custom 

This GearGuardian system was developed specifically for a leased commercial vehicle, where the client required professional equipment storage without permanently altering the van.

The installation uses the vehicle’s factory-designated mounting and anchor points, allowing the storage system to be securely integrated without drilling or making unnecessary permanent modifications to the vehicle structure. When the lease period ends, the GearGuardian system can be removed, allowing the vehicle to be returned substantially in its original factory configuration, subject to normal wear and lease-return requirements.

GearGuardian Pro demonstration vehicle at Mercedes-Benz Sydney

Developed as a demonstration of the GearGuardian Pro system, this Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle showcases how secure storage, accessibility and practical workflow can be integrated into a professional trade vehicle fitout. The vehicle was displayed at multiple Mercedes-Benz Vans showrooms as a working example of the GearGuardian Pro concept.

Mobile Showroom Transformation

Commissioned by Mercedes-Benz as part of its Fit For Purpose project, this Mercedes-Benz Vito was converted by Oz Interior by Design into a purpose-built mobile showroom for Cargo Crew, allowing the uniform company to take its products and styling service directly to customers.

The vehicle was designed around Cargo Crew’s product range and mobile sales workflow, combining organised product presentation, secure storage and practical access within a professional customer-facing environment.

Special Occasion Photographer Mobile Studio

Designed for a professional wedding and reception photographer, this purpose-built mobile studio provides a comfortable workspace, editing area and rest facility for long event days where photography can continue late into the evening.

The interior allows the photographer to securely store equipment, complete image editing and post-event work, prepare files and spend time resting before travelling home. The result is a self-contained mobile workspace designed to make demanding photography schedules more comfortable, organised and practical.

Custom Touring Motorhome Conversion

Purpose-built for comfortable touring and independent travel, this custom campervan conversion transformed the vehicle into a fully integrated living environment designed around the owner’s individual requirements rather than a standardised layout.

A key feature of the conversion is an innovative dual-purpose bathroom pod that combines the toilet and shower within one compact enclosure. This approach maximises valuable interior space while retaining the functionality required for extended touring and self-contained travel.

Fire and Rescue NSW

Oz Interior by Design designed and manufactured this specialist vehicle fitout to support Fire and Rescue NSW operations, creating an extremely functional emergency-service vehicle focused on secure equipment storage, rapid accessibility and practical day-to-day operational use.

A key objective of the fitout was to replace the inefficiency of loose or stacked equipment, where setup and pack-up can become messy and time-consuming. The vehicle was therefore configured with dedicated compartments for individual items, allowing equipment to be organised, secured and accessed in a more systematic way.

Painting and Decorating Project

This purpose-built trade van fitout was designed for a professional painting and decorating company whose work required dedicated storage for paint, plastering tools, consumables and specialised decorating equipment.

Rather than relying on general-purpose shelving, the interior was configured around the actual dimensions and day-to-day use of the client’s equipment, including dedicated compartments sized specifically for 15 L and 20 L paint containers and larger plastering tools.
